What is biblical eschatology? The word itself is derived from two Greek words. Eschatos, meaning “last things” or “end things” and ology meaning “the study of”. Together they form the word "eschatology”, which means “the study of the end times.” It is the branch of Christian doctrine that deals with death, judgment, and the final destiny of the soul and humankind.
